Jane the Sleep Coach

As a Mum of four kids- believe me- I get it- life with kids can be challenging!

As a Mum I can definitely say that I have made (and I am still making) one million mistakes.

But one thing I can hand on heart say I did right is teach my kids how to sleep from a very early age.

I should also here give a massive shout out to my husband Nick as he also did a great job with sleep too.

Now how did two parents with zero knowledge of sleep or babies manage this?

We are Expat parents with no family near by to help....how could we manage sleep deprivation too?

Our first daughter was born early and spent her first ten days of her life in a neo natal unit.

To say this was a traumatic time is the least way I can express this.

But the most positive side that came from this time was the nurses and the help they gave us.

Gentle tips and suggestions for feeding and sleep, when to change nappies, the sounds babies make and why….all these little tips gave us the strength and confidence to be able to leave our daughter to settle and to sleep independently.

This is not to say that we didn’t also spend hours cuddling and carrying her, taking her out in the pram, a bit of co sleeping in the mornings etc.

But for most of her naps and definitely at night she slept in her own cot.

Due to giving her these early sleep skills she was sleeping through at the age of 6 weeks.

To be honest even we could not believe it could be so easy!

So the sleep techniques we used with her which were making sure she wasn't hungry, establishing a consistent routine, giving naps when she was ready.....we used with all four of our children and they also all slept through from early on.

Just to be clear here- I do not believe in any way that children are robots or that they all have the same personalities or needs. I have four children- two girls, two boys, one with ADHD the other with Autism...but the fact is, with a clear, consistent sleep routine they all knew how to sleep.

But what if your child is older and still not sleeping well?

Its ok, don't panic...the same gentle, consistent sleep coaching methods can be used any time with a bit of adjustment to suit the family.

One thing I would like to make clear- sleep coaching is not for everyone. Many parents are fine with being awake multiple times during the night. So lets leave them to it.

But, if you are ready to get your sleep back on track why not give sleep coaching a chance?

My one tip to families when they start with me is: clear your mind, do not even tell friends you are doing this because everyone will have their opinion! Once you have decided to do sleep coaching then just do it- you will quickly see how fast and easily sleep will change.

How it works

Let me know when you have completed both and I will send you dates for the first appointment.

Please note that there is generally at least a two week wait time for appointments. So the best thing to do is jump in now! 

 

If you have questions about which package you should take then you can ask them in the email or we can arrange a free 20 minute call.

Please note though that the purpose of this call is not for me to spend time encouraging you to do sleep coaching or giving free info about sleep.

The purpose is just to answer any questions about the package you would like.

I do not want to waste my time trying to persuade parents to sleep coach....please let me spend that time working with the parents who desperately need help.
